Purchasing a New Phone Number for an Agent

Summary: Purchasing a Phone Number for an Agent will be done within the Kixie Dashboard. Each phone number will cost $5 monthly. Every agent is allocated one free phone number so you will be credited for an agent's first number. You can buy a new number and directly assign it for an agent in two places. 

If you are looking for an international or toll-free phone number, please contact support@kixie.com for further information. 

• Please note we do not carry 800 numbers, but do carry 855, 877, etc. We also cannot provide a list to pick from.

Purchasing a Phone Number in the "Kixie Numbers" Page. 

The Kixie Number's page is only visible to a user with managerial permissions. This page will give the option to purchase a new phone number as well as visibility to all active phone numbers that were previously purchased on your account. 

Step 1

• Go to the Kixie Dashboard
• Click on 'Manage' located in the left menu tab
• Click into 'Numbers'
• Click into 'Kixie Numbers'
• Click on the blue '+Add' button. 

Step 2

• Select the 'Number For' field to assign the phone number to an agent or existing group that you have already created. In this example, we will be assigning this number to purchase for an agent. 

Step 3

• Select the name of the Agent you wish to assign this phone number for. 
• Enter an area code suitable for your agent (for example: 424 area code) and then click the blue 'Search' button. 

Step 4

• Choose any of the available phone numbers and click the blue 'Buy' button. Then confirm your purchase to successfully buy and assign the phone number.

Purchasing a Phone Number in an Agent's Profile

Step 1

• Please log into your active account via https://app.kixie.com/login
• Click on 'Manage' located in the left menu tab
• Click into 'Agents'
• Click on the agent's name highlighted in blue.
• Click on the 'Agent Settings' button in the left menu tab and click into the 'Numbers' tab. 

Step 2

• Click on the blue '+Add' button located on the upper right of the page to add a new phone number. 

Step 3

• Search your desired area code on the top right of the page. A list of phone numbers will then populate below. Click the blue 'Buy' button on any one of the available numbers to purchase.
• Confirm the purchase and click 'Yes' to successfully buy the number for the agent's profile.
